Following O'Sensei's maxim, "Aikido is Budo." we study authentic, effective Aikido. We are honored to have Sensei Walther von Krenner as our Chief Instructor. He is Hachi-Dan (8th Degree Black Belt) in Aikido with over 60 years of martial arts experience, including study with O'Sensei Morihei Ueshiba, Dosshu Kisshomaru Ueshiba and Koichi Tohei Sensei. He has taught seminars all over the United States and was inducted into the USMA Martial Arts Hall of Fame as Aikido Grandmaster in 2000.
Sensei von Krenner has taught in the beautiful Flathead Valley of Montana since 1980.
Sensei von Krenner’s latest book is available now through Amazon. It is an exploration of the Cha-No-Yu (tea ceremony), its philosophy, history and tools. Filled with detailed photos of very rare tea bowls, it sure to be a reference for serious collectors.
His other books include Atemi: The Thunder and Lightning of Aikido, while Following the Martial Path is a collection of his reflections and stories from over half a century of training. You can find a full list of his books on the Instruction and Fees page.
Schedule
Core Aikido classes are Monday and Thursday 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. Aikido Weapons is Friday from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m.
